Change of name

I have been thinking about names for a couple of hours and I came up with a good name to replace this one if that is what God chooses.

House - Honor Our Savior Forever

Any suggestions are welcome.

Future and Beyond

I bought the shirt today, my dad thought it was a stupid choice. I did not care all that much if he did, he thinks I am to focused on things that do not matter. Little does he know that I love the sport of powerlifting, and I like to help people out.

Future life

I have thought, then changed, and then thought about it again. I know what I want to be when I grow up. Some people tell me not to hurry or rush my decision and I am not really rushing it I will keep an open mind I just always go back to this set of path in my life.

I want to become a preacher...yep, I want to be ordained. I may not preach every Sunday or anything, I may just do friends weddings and baptisms but I want to become a preacher. My work I want to work as a personal trainer, athletic trainer, or strength and conditioning coach. I also want to be a powerlifter, in my imagination I want to become a 308 pound monster of a man that preaches the good word and has the power of an ox all in the name of the Lord.

Campaign

I said a few days ago that I would let you guys in on my new campaign or ministry. Well bascially all my efforts for the rest of the year will be for Christ. I am calling it All About Christ (ABC), I figure it will be a plug and play ministry. The reason I chose ABC is that it seems simple, right now that is what it is. It's a simple ministry to give a little something to the world. Nothing huge and I might merge into IMPACT or I might change my identity into something else when the time comes. I will be affiliated with IMPACT Ministries with my local Youth Pastor, Craig Walker.

So my goals are as follows:
  • Five (5) shirt design to sell as witness wear.
  • Article atleast once a month dealing with God/Athletics (this might be more frequent but atleast once a month).
  • One Sermon before December 31.
My physical goals:
  • Weigh in at 260 lbs.
  • Bench of 250 lbs.
  • Squat 400 lbs.
  • Deadlift 400+ lbs.

Training Log

I decided to just write down my training log into a note book so I can access anytime I need to. I have decided that I have not been getting enough daily bread (in both senses) so I will be taking time from now on to pack 4 snickers and 1 pop-tart each morning. I will also before going to bed write down a verse that inspires me to go all out in weight training.

New Article

There is a new article coming out this weekend, hopefully I can get it to the church in time before I leave out of town to go get a little R&R. It will be up for two weeks because of the fact that the dad's will be out of town for the weekend up to the Men's Retreat. I pray for all the men that are going up that they get a lot of good out of this trip. This trip here is something I call the "recovery" part of our training under God. You will be in a stress free enviroment, meaning this is where you will grow here.

I will show you in a metaphor of sorts, in the week to week life of a Christian is like working out and stimulating your muscles (struggles through the week) and then at the end of the day you go to bed and recover (church on Sunday). Now it is best to take naps through out the day to best stay healthy through the day (bible studies, readings, etc. through out the week). This retreat is like the once every so on you have that night of sleep that goes for 12-15 hours without being disturbed. This is the important thing to do, to give you the refreshment of going back in to battle (the gym or the sinful world).

Ice Cream

This is a little off course but I have a little rant to give everyone. I am a man of God, but truth be told I like food, I mean I am close to 250 lbs here. The topic for this section is ice cream, homemade ice cream to be specific. There is only one, in my mind (yes a little bigotry), flavor homemade ice cream should be, vanilla.

I was doing a little experiment with my colleagues in making ice cream. Well I was with four girls and leave it to the girls to mess up home made ice cream. They insisted on pouring the packet of cocoa powder into the ice cream mix. None sense I thought, well thank goodness they did not get enough in there to take away from the vanilla taste. All the powder did was turn it a shade of brown.

Remember people, vanilla is the only way to go. Unless you have Hershey's chocolate.

Now, you may ask why this is the way I believe, and I have a strong belief in such things as how food should taste. It is because I am a country boy with a Grandma, that I love so much and she loves to make her baby boy some good food. A lot of good food, emphasis on a lot because if you notice my stomach is not quite a washboard.

Sorry for my tardiness

I have been busy with training, school, and family issues and have not been able to get to my self-choice responsibilities. I have not been able to get to the church or write an article because of my family situation and being busy. I have even missed lots of church and other times to hypertrophy in the name of the Lord.

Back in the groove

Well, I am doing good in my training. I have been able to place 4th in my last competition. Always improving at a steady pace, which is how I like to do stuff because making big jumps of faith and strength usually result in weeks and months at a plateau which usually puts me at ground zero with my faith. I just started a ground zero with my faith in God recently.

I just was constantly busy, which honesty is not an excuse because not going to church is not a reason not to grow, there is always solo-bible studies, and the evangelist channels. Just like if you can not go to your gym to train is not an excuse since there are ways to train outside the gym.

Training for powerlifting

I will be starting my training for powerlifting soon, I am hopefully to get some nice jumps since never really trained for it. I will be training 5 days a week with a the following split:

Monday - ME Bench
Tuesday - ME Squat/Deadlift (Switch every other week and the other do tech work for)
Thursday - DE OR RE Bench
Friday - DE or RE Squat/Deadlift (switch every other week)
Saturday - Recovery or CNS
