Introduction to the Strength series

This will be a short article every Sunday about faith and how it relates to athletics and other things that come to mind. It will be short as so it can be read in one sitting. And if you can not read it in one sitting then you can visit my weblog at the address [http://athleticworship.blogspot.com/].

I have been studying athletic training for three years now. Since then, I have found many similarities between my athletic training and the building of the relationship between Jesus and myself. I have built myself up from a weakling into a powerful creation, in more ways than one. As I was turned to God, I was also turned to a higher level of athletics around at the same time.

I have read articles written by the men and women in the field of athletic training and I have listened to the men and women of the word and the basics are all the same. There are four basic things in order to make yourself grow towards your goal:

  1. Committing yourself
  2. Daily Bread
  3. Workout Everyday
  4. Recovery

It is most important to commit yourself, if that’s either throwing away junk food to keep that extra fat off you, so not to slow you down, or throwing away that secular pile of magazines that slows your spiritual growth down.

Next time, we will discuss further on things you can do to help yourself commit yourself to the Lord Jesus. We will also be talking about not lying to yourself about your commitment as it is easy to show the world our false commitment to look good.

Introduction of this weblog!

This is the first post on this weblog, it is to log my [Christian] thoughts about things, and also to post articles. If you are at this site, it is likely you stumbled onto it by reading one of my articles in a stale or urinal at Glendale Christian Church. I decided to place these into the men's bathroom one day while I was day dreaming and came up with the idea.

Rule(s):

  1. No one will ever know my name or who I am* through my articles or this page.
  2. I will try to post an article every week.
    1. I will not post the article on the weblog until after service on Sunday, or
    2. if I am not able to make it to church that day.
  3. I would love your comments on my articles, as well as my thoughts. Just be courteous, and
    1. No swearing,
    2. sexual innuendo.
    3. devil worship. or
    4. soliciting.

* I will not announce my name anytime now or in the future (my own father does not know I write this article). It is this way because I do not need recognition for my works but only by Jesus. Even though Jesus is my teacher he will know my name by my works and not what I write on a document. God Bless!
